Christina Aguilera recently celebrated her 43rd birthday, and her daughter Summer showered her in love for the special occasion.
The pop icon shared an Instagram Reel on Tuesday documenting some behind-the-scenes moments from her big day, including a few clips with her 9-year-old. Summer was in tow while her mom was surprised with an abundance of pink and silver birthday decorations, including streamers and balloons filling a grand foyer. Aguilera’s daughter stuck close to her side, then snuck a hug in before the duo smiled in front of the singer’s “Happy Bday” balloons.
Summer, whom Aguilera usually shields from the public eye, was dressed in an adorable casual outfit — she seems to have inherited her mama’s style from a young age! The 9-year-old wore an oversized pink cardigan sweater that was buttoned up and donned like a dress. Her straw-colored hair was secured in a top knot with a matching pink scrunchie, and a beaming smile was her brightest accessory. She nailed the ballerinacore trend, which is fitting with The Nutcracker being in season!
The little girl also trailed her famous mama into a performance venue, where Aguilera’s background dancers and Vegas residency team surprised her with a celebration of their own. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes – sending love from Vegas ♥️💋,” the entertainment multi-hyphenate captioned the post.
Aguilera welcomed Summer with her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, in 2014, and she shares a 15-year-old son named Max with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
In August, the Burlesque star celebrated her daughter’s ninth birthday with a sweet Instagram post. “Today I find myself reflecting on how fast time has gone by,” Aguilera began. “These 9 years have been filled with boundless love, heartwarming hugs, staying up too late, Disney adventures, and most recently, the joy of gracing the stage alongside you. ✨”
