Brad Pitt‘s 50s were complicated to say the least. After a tumultuous divorce, abuse allegations, and a battle with alcoholism, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor is reportedly “feeling great” after turning 60 on December 18.
“He is in a loving relationship, his relationship with most of his kids is loving [and] he’s in a good place,” an insider told Us Weekly after Pitt’s milestone birthday. Since 2021, Pitt has reportedly been dating Ines De Ramon, the vice president of a jewelry brand and ex-wife of actor Paul Wesley. The low-key couple are apparently going strong and, according to the insider, so is Pitt’s relationship with some of his children.
The Bullet Train star shares six children with ex-wife Angelina Jolie — Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15. While all of the kids seem to have a close relationship with their mother, much has been speculated about their relationship with Pitt. However, this insider is claiming that at least some of the six children will be celebrating with their dad.
“Brad is planning on celebrating with a couple of his kids and Ines,” the source continued, adding that the actor and his girlfriend “also have a small gathering planned for close friends this week for a more adult celebration.” They added: “All Brad wants this year is for his kids and himself to be happy.”
After filing for divorce from Pitt, Jolie went on to accuse the actor of choking and hitting two of their children and injuring her during an incident on their private jet in 2016. Since then, it has been widely speculated that some of Pitt’s children no longer have a relationship with him and recent rumors even alleged one is planning to write a tell-all book about their father — though neither Jolie or Pitt have spoken in depth about his relationship with their children and an FBI investigation into the incident resulted in no formal charges.
“Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side — but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do,” Pitt’s lawyer Anne Kiley said in an October 2022 statement. “He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.”
