Reports emerged in November that Costner had his sights set on Witherspoon after they both split from their respective partners but the reports were quickly quashed by her team who said the story “completely fabricated and not true.”

Christine Baumgartner

After originally meeting during his marriage to Silva, Costner crossed paths with Christine Baumgartner again in 1999 and began dating.

The couple split briefly in 2003 due to Costner’s reluctance to have more kids but reunited soon after and married the following year. 

During their 19-year marriage, Costner and Baumgartner welcomed three children: sons Cayden and Hayes and a daughter, Grace.

Costner gave a rare update about their relationship in 2020, gushing about their bond. “Our partnership has really come into focus about what we do for each other and how we deal with our family,” he told People. “Our house is like a river: You’ve just got to get into the flow of it. And whatever you thought it was going to be, maybe it still can, but it’s going to have to work with what the day brings.”

In May 2023, Baumgartner filed for divorce from her The Bodyguard star husband citing “irreconcilable differences.” After a tumultuous back and forth, their split was finalized in September.

Per Us Weekly, Costner and the Friends actress were linked in the mid 90s. The actors costarred in 3000 Miles to Graceland but other than that there’s not much that links the pair.

Naomi Campbell

Some outlets report that Costner had a romance with supermodel Naomi Campbell but there is little evidence to support the claim.

Another of Costner’s alleged flings was with French model Carla Bruni, who went on to become France’s first lady.

Bobbie Brown

Costner was linked to several women in the years after his marriage ended, including model Bobbie Brown who dished about their very brief encounter years later but insists there was little to it.

“After another wild night at the club, I went back to Kevin Costner’s place and was so lit I threw a lit cigarette into his bedroom and nearly set his house on fire. But we never had sex,” she told the New York Post in 2013.

Elle Macpherson

Costner reportedly had a whirlwind romance with Australian model Elle Macpherson in 1996 and the pair moved in together after only a few months of dating.

“I feel I have met my equal with this beautiful, talented, funny, and lovely person,” Costner reportedly said of Macpherson at the time. However, their relationship ended by the end of the year. 

Bridget Rooney

After his divorce, Costner had a brief relationship with Bridget Rooney, niece of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ then-owner Dan Rooney.

Rooney and Costner share a son, Liam, who was born in 1996 and stays out of the spotlight.

Halle Berry

Amid the earliest reports of Costner’s marriage issues, the actor was accused of having an affair with Halle Berry. The two appear to have remained friends despite the rumors which lack evidence.

Before rising to international fame, Costner met and fell in love with Cindy Silva in 1975 when they were both students at California State University.

Of their first date, Costner once said: “She was beautiful. She was sweet. She was smarter than me … she represented everything about women that I like. I was just really proud that this girl would go out with me. I wanted to show my parents.”

During their 16 year marriage, the couple welcomed three children: Annie, Lily and Joe. 

However, eventually Costner’s fame took its toll. Reports emerged that Silva was not comfortable with her husband’s hearthrob status in Hollywood and other outlets accused Costner of cheating on Silva.

The couple split in 1994 and, with no prenup, their divorce ended up costing the actor $80 million that he was ordered to pay to his former wife.
